In 1972, she began teaching four-year-old pre-school at First United Methodist Church, impacting many young lives for the next 23 years. She was honored by the Chamber of Commerce in 2011 as "one of the people who makes Moultrie and Colquitt County a special place because she truly enjoys meeting new people and making folks feel welcome. For 37 years, she welcomed new residents to the community through her business, Southern Hospitality Welcome Service. She married her sweetheart, Gresham Clements and they were married for 46 wonderful years," her family remembered. ![]() Jeri was a devoted, loving wife and mother and cherished her family very much. "She came from a large family and always placed a high value on these relationships. She was born in Irwin County, the daughter of the late Archie Jones and Abbie York Jones Mulkey, and was one of 13 children. "She went peacefully when the Lord called her to heaven," her family said. Casketbearers will be her nephews, Clark Jones, Clay Jones, Greg Hunnicutt, Plenn Hunnicutt, Bryan McDonald and Blake Brantley.
